Work Experience at Volpa leads to London Recognition for Student

After spending a few days of work experience earlier this year here at Volpa, Crieff born film production student Odhran Combe will see his work displayed at Scotland House in central London from this month onwards.

Odhran, who is due to start a film and television production degree at York University; filmed, produced and edited a short promotional video for the award winning agency in just two days. The film is now on display at Scotland House in central London, visible on the giant screen in the members hot desk area, which also serves as a canteen for the Scottish Government in London.

The promotional film for Volpa was used to form part of Odhran’s portfolio for his successful application to York University.

Tricia Fox, CEO of Volpa commented: “We were incredibly impressed with Odhran’s skill in filming, producing and editing such a fantastic video for us in such a short period of time. It is of such high quality that we have felt able to use it as a promotional tool for the company now that we are members of Scotland House in London. We are delighted the work he undertook under our guidance has helped him to pursue his dream of becoming a film producer by securing a place at York University. With such a promising start, I am confident that he has a great career in film production ahead of him.”

Odhran added: “Having had no previous corporate experience, I’m incredibly grateful to Volpa for giving me the opportunity to work with such a talented team. I couldn’t have hoped for a better result; the video I produced has helped me secure a place at University and I’m absolutely thrilled that it’s being shown externally to a wider business audience in London.”
