The Enchanted Forest helps to light up Pitlochry over the Winter months

The Enchanted Forest Community Trust has donated £2,000 towards the running costs of Pitlochry’s Winter Lights.

The award-winning sound and light show made the generous contribution in recognition of the special effort from the community team who put up the lights at the end of September to support the opening of the five-week event.

Ian Sim, chairman of The Enchanted Forest Community Trust, said:

“We know how much our visitors enjoy the lighting display in the town as they wait for the bus to take them into The Enchanted Forest – it really helps people get into the spirit of the event.

“The lighting committee puts in a tremendous amount of effort each year to create the display, and we are pleased to make a donation towards maintaining and insuring the lights.”

Showcasing the wild and wonderful autumnal beauty of Highland Perthshire, The Enchanted Forest 2018 was a spectacular success with all 80,000 tickets for this year’s #OfTheWild selling out midway through the show.
