The team at Kinkell Byre got in touch with Volpa to re-vamp their existing brand and update their website which, although had been working well was now starting to look dated and the team felt they needed to improve the user experience to help increase connectivity with potential clients and increase bookings.
Firstly the brand: The Fyfe family farmed at Kinkell from 1950 until 2003, where Archie, Kinkell’s Highland cow featured for over 20 years. Archie watched over the farm whilst Kinkell Byre was launched as a wedding and events venue back in 2003. Sadly, in 2014, Archie passed away but he has been mounted high in the entrance hall of the venue, where he still watches over proceedings until today.
Archie plays an important part in the story of Kinkell and therefore it is fitting that he now features within the branding for the Byre.
The rich red used in the colour palette reflects the physical colour of the byre doors whilst the antique gold shade promotes quality and that Kinkell Byre is a professional and established business.
Website Build: Once the new brand guidelines were finalised and approved Volpa set about bringing all their core services together in a clean and easy to use website with new images and photography and incorporating the new brand on each page. The brief was to make it easy for couples to book enquiries for weddings and with a stronger emphasis on their corporate offerings which they wanted to grow.
Our web designers got to work and built the new website with added functionality, clear links to social media, an updated list of suppliers and a new improved blog.
