The sun is shining (hooray) and our clients have got lots of exciting campaigns, events and people to shout about (even more hooray)! We’ve had an outstanding month for client coverage, from international news to front pages locally – check out some of our results below.

Let Battle Commence

The world’s press descended on Scone Palace for the International Medieval Combat Federation’s World Championships, which turned the Palace grounds into a scene from Game of Thrones. The press tent was buzzing with reporters wanting a bit of the action, and it was our pleasure to take care of them. Our most regal client, Scone Palace, got coverage on BBC Breakfast, BBC Good Morning Scotland, STV news and in local and national newspapers. Further afield, news bulletins appeared in Canada, Australia, Germany, France and Japan. Gold star to the BBC’s Mike Bushell, who donned armour and wielded a real sword as part of the opening ceremony – and kept smiling the whole way through!

A New Lease of Life

When our client Balhousie Care Group shared a remarkable tale of a resident who’d gone from zero mobility to walking again, thanks to some excellent nursing care, we spotted a great media opportunity. Great-grandmother Sheila Pirie and her nurse Kate Barry hit regional, Scottish and national news, including Metro, The Herald and STV.

Changing the Face of Renting

A report on the future of property renting – particularly for the millennial generation – made national headlines. And so did our client Carling Property Group, with a high-profile comment piece on the private rental sector in The Herald.

Pups & Prosecco

Dog Friendly Perthshire, a new tourism website which aims to promote Perthshire as ‘The Dog Friendly Capital of Scotland’ officially launched on National Pet Parents Day, at a sell-out event which raised over £1,190 for a local dog charity. As well as building the website, design and helping at the Pups & Prosecco launch event, Volpa also generated some pretty great coverage for the brand too.
