Foodbank collections launch at Perthshire Libraries

Volpa kicked off February with some fabulous media activity for Culture Perth & Kinross.

A community initiative to host foodbank collection points in the AK Bell, Blairgowrie, Kinross and Auchterarder Libraries attracted national and local coverage from STV, Wave 102, The Courier and the Perthshire Advertiser.

Balhousie care home opens its door to BBC Radio 4

After catching wind of Radio 4’s investigation into the issues facing Britain’s social care sector for its ‘You and Yours’ programme, Volpa invited the team to spend a day in a Balhousie Care Home to experience social care in Scotland first-hand. The Radio 4 team, interviewed staff and residents as part of a piece titled: “Should England introduce free personal and nursing social care like in Scotland?”

Grieg on the small screen

Volpa secured screen time for client Grieg Seafood as part of a BBC News package on how Brexit will affect the fishing industry. With a huge workforce from the EU, Grieg could face serious recruitment issues following Brexit. Managing Director, Grant Cumming was raring to go on air to stress the point after some cunningly good media training from Volpa.

Balhousie residents make the most of the snow

Residents and carers of Balhousie’s Forth View and Monkbarns had a great time in the snow with a bit of playful fun building snowmen and throwing snowballs.

We couldn’t resist sending these pics to the media and the heart-warming news story was picked up by local media in Fife.
