Bolton business finalist in North West family business awards

Nisyst, the Bolton based supplier of charity retail EPoS software, has been announced as a finalist for the Science and Technologycategory of the North West Family Business Awards 2020.

Nisyst beat strong competition with a record number of 192 businesses entering the awards from across the North West region. As one of three companies shortlisted in the category, the Science and Technology award celebrates a North West family business who has shown sustained commitment to providing cutting-edge products, services, insightful solutions and innovative strategies.

The North West Family Business Awards ceremony will take place on Friday 6 March 2020. It will be held under the wings of Concorde in the purpose-built hangar and events centre at Manchester Airport with host, food writer, and presenter Nigel Barden.

Bob Chunilal, Managing Director of Nisyst, commented: “We’re delighted to have been shortlisted for this award. It is testament to the hard work of all our team. The family values we hold as a family business have had a massive impact on the culture of our business and how we operate. Coupled with a strong product that really delivers, we believe the level and quality of customer service we provide is down to these core values. This in turn has been instrumental to the success of our business to date.”

Founder and Co-director of the North West Family Business awards, Sue Howorth, said: “We were inundated with some incredible entries and we have been burning the midnight oil to get through them as they came in right up to the wire. The judges had extremely difficult decisions to make so the finalists should be extremely proud of themselves!

Co-director, Dave Clarkson said: “A huge thank you to everyone who has taken the time to fill out an application form and enter. We’ve been absolutely blown away by the strength and diversity of applications.”

Jacqui Jackson from Thomas Jardine & Co and 2020 NW Awards Chair of Judges said: “The number and quality of applications from across the North West has been outstanding, the businesses are clearly proud to be family businesses and the detail in many of the entries has demonstrated that they are very progressive and innovative.”

The finalists will now receive a visit from our specially selected panel of expert judges before the judges make their final decisions. The winners will be announced at the glittering ceremony in March. You can find out more information about the awards at www.northwestfamilybusinessawards.uk
